WINCHESTER, VA – American Woodmark Corp., a supplier of cabinetry to the remodeling and new construction industries, announced that Jake Gosa, chairman of the board, has declined to seek re-election to the company’s Board of Directors at the next annual shareholders meeting. Kent Guichard, president and CEO, will assume the additional role of chairman of the board subsequent to the company’s 2009 shareholders meeting to be held on Aug. 27. Read more.

In other news, the company announced that Andrew Cogan, CEO of Knoll Inc., joined the company’s board of directors. Cogan joined Knoll in 1989 and was elected to Knoll’s board of directors in 1996 and assumed the roles of COO in 1999 and CEO in 2001.
