JACKSON, GA – American Woodmark Corp., a supplier of cabinetry to the new home construction and remodeling industries, has appointed Dan Carley plant manager for its Jackson, GA, facility. 

Carley will be responsible for coordinating the functions of the Plant Level Team in support of manufacturing, distribution and service operations.

“Dan demonstrates superior leadership ability and brings extensive knowledge of manufacturing systems,” says Ken Lafy, vice president of manufacturing, value stream two. “The Jackson plant serves as a vital part of our entire manufacturing process and we feel confident Dan will become a key player in strengthening operations there as he transitions into his new role. We welcome him to the team and look forward to his contributions.”

Carley joins the company with 18 years of manufacturing experience, including kaizen efficiency programs, self-directed work teams, standardized work and set-up reduction. Most recently he was with Camdel Metals in Camden, DE, where he served as the operations director.
