WINCHESTER, VA – American Woodmark Corp., a supplier of cabinetry to the new home construction and remodeling industries, announced the promotion of Chris Utz to the plant manager position at its Kingman, AZ, plant. He will report directly to Ken Lafy, vice president of value stream 2.
Utz joined the company in 2001 as a department manager in the Berryville, VA, plant. In this new position, Utz will be responsible for applying his previous experiences as Berryville plant manager to the organization, efficiency and management of the Kingman plant.
“Chris has demonstrated excellent leadership skills and has helped to lead the Berryville plant through changes in the product mix without sacrificing delivery and quality,” Lafy said. “Under Chris’s leadership, the Berryville plant has had great success, which I am confident Chris will bring to the Kingman plant as well.”
