American Signature recalls entertainment centers
WASHINGTON --

American Signature Inc. of Columbus, OH, has issued a voluntary recall for approximately 24,000 entertainment centers.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the products' shelves can detach and fall onto consumers when the entertainment centers are moved.

American Signature, which imports the products from China, Malaysia and Thailand, has received four reports of the shelf above the television collapsing, causing two injuries. Injuries include a child who was struck on her fingers and an adult who required stitches to his mouth.

There were also two reports of minor property damage.
