GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- James Hackett, president and CEO of office furniture manufacturer Steelcase is slated to receive the Peter C. Cook Excellence in Business Award, at a black tie dinner, Friday, May 6, at DeVos Place.
Actress Diane Keaton will speak at the awards dinner, organized by Davenport University.
Hackett is receiving the award for his role in overseeing Steelcase's domestic and international operations. Steelcase has annual revenues of more than $3 billion and is one of West Michiganâs largest employers.
Keaton won an Oscar for the Woody Allen film "Annie Hall." She has more than 50 movies and television shows to her credit.
The Excellence in Business Dinner was established in 1998 in honor of Davenport University alumnus Peter Cook. Proceeds from the event benefit Davenport University Foundation scholarships.
