AAMA Releases Comparative Analysis of Windows and Doors

SCHAUMBURG, IL — The American Architectural Manufacturers Assn. has released AAMA 2502-07, a new 18-page document titled Comparative Analysis Procedure for Window and Door Products, according to ThomasNet.

“The newly created document includes sections providing direction on determining load distribution, load magnitude, section properties, bending moments, stress calculations, connections, deflections, lateral buckling and numerous graphics depicting the appropriate procedures and formulas,” said Ken Brenden, AAMA technical standards manager.

The Comparative Analysis Procedure for Window and Door Products is available to AAMA members at a cost of $20 for download, $40 for paper copy and $45 for CD. Non-members may purchase the document at a cost of $40 for download, $80 for paper copy and $85 for CD.
