The new freight hub is located about 50 miles northeast of Baltimore. Initially Zenith's Elkton hub will offer service to Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, and over time will expand into remaining states in the Northeast currently serviced from Zenith's North Carolina facilities.

“These investments are designed to enable us to provide quicker, more targeted service to our customers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states,” said Jack Hawn, president and CEO of Zenith Global Logistics. “We’ve seen growth of more than 35% in the Northeast over the last year, and our commitment to consistent, timely, accurate service demanded we expand our operations.”

Zenith Global Logistics has seized the recession to rapidly expand its furniture shipment operations. Since 2009, the company has opened seven regional freight and home delivery hubs including Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Virginia and Kentucky. In addition, it expanded its North Carolina storage and handling capacity last year by more than 30% through the acquisition of the former Boyles Furniture facility in Conover as its new corporate headquarters.
