ASSAGO, ITALY – Pre-registration has opened for the 2012 Xylexpo, a biennial international exhibition of woodworking technology and furniture industry supplies. The event will be held May 8-12 at the Milan Exhibition Center Fieramilano-Rho in Milan, Italy.
Prospective Xylexpo attendees can fill out a form at www.xylexpo.com to receive a pass giving them immediate access to Xylexpo halls, avoiding long lines.
Supported by Eumabois, the European federation of wood technology manufacturers and by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, Xylexpo will feature four halls of panel processing machines and technology, solid wood machining solutions as well as suppliers and other woodworking industry solution vendors.
Currently, the show has approximately 460 exhibitors for a total space of more than 30,000 square meters.
“We are working intensively at the upcoming event knowing that the wood industry is looking at Xylexpo not only to find innovation, ideas, technology and equipment, but also to gather and discuss, to better understand what happened, what is happening and what shall be done in an industry and markets that have changed radically," said Paolo Zanibon, exhibition general manager.
Xylexpo attendees will also have the opportunity to register for technical seminars held during the show featuring topics like wood drying. Also, Xlam-clt: Building the Future of Housing, an international conference will be held on Friday, May 11.
Xylexpo also takes place during Tew-Technolgoy Exhibition Week, which will showcase several technology shows including Plast (for plastics and rubber); Fluidtrans Compomac (fluid power technology and mechatronics) and Mechanical Power Transmission & Motion Control (mechanical power transimissions, motion control and mechatronics).
