IWF Wood Technology Awards, Cabinetry Fire, SIBO Top NewsWood industry technology expected at the International Woodworking Fair triggered excitement, as trade show managers released the finalists in the 2012 Challengers Distinguished Achievement Awards. Woodworking Network broke the news Wednesday night, and it became the most-viewed report online within hours.

Woodworking Network will publish the IWF 2012 Official Challengers Award publication in two weeks, with expanded profiles of the finalists and a a retrospective on the wood industry technology and supplies that have won the Challenger Awards over the years.

Also topping the weeks reports were a story of a custom cabinet and furniture shop leveled by fire, IKEA fielded an accusation it logs old-growth forests,
