YORK, PA - Kitchen cabinetry exec Tom Wolf won the Democrat primary for Pennsylvania Governor last night, capturing 55% of the vote. An opponent who accused him of outsourcing cabinet manufacturing to Indiana ran a distant second winning just 18%.

Wolf, who spent $10 million of his own funds on the campaign according to Politico website, will face Republican Governor Tom Corbett in the election in November.

Wolf previously served as Pennsylvania's Revenue Secretary, but left that office to revive his cabinetry distribution firm - 170-year-old The Wolf Organization - which now does $200 million in sales. Wolf rebutted his opponent's charge, noting 75% of Wolf cabinets are made in Pennsylvania, and that he had insourced cabinets to other U.S. manufacturers from foreign factories.

The company claims to be the largest supplier of kitchen and bath cabinetry in the U.S., and a major supplier of building products. It has over 4,000 independent dealers in 29 East Coast and Midwestern states.

At its website, Wolf for Governor of PA, The Wolf campaign details Tom Wolf's public service.

After returning to the company, Tom Wolf renamed Wolf Building Products as Wolf Home Products to source and sell American-made, Wolf-branded products through Wolf and other channels located in the U.S. and beyond. The Wolf Organization then reduced its overall number of business units from 13 to seven, streamlined operations and develop a stronger regional focus. Craig Danielson was named head of the new Wolf Home Products division.
