ALEXANDER CITY, AL – David Gordon has been named President & CEO of Wellborn Forest Products.
Participating with private equity owner Linsalata Capital Partners, Gordon will oversee all functions of the business, developing and implementing strategic plans for growth and operational improvement, leading and developing the senior management team and driving sales growth and profitability.
Brooke Chase's Rick Mohrman announced the news of Gordon's appointment. Linsalata Capital Partners (LinCap), a Cleveland-based private equity firm, recapitalized Wellborn in 2006 with Tim Wellborn, then President/CEO.
With a background of financial and strategic leadership at Armstrong World Industries, Gordon was asked to lead Marketing initiative in the Cabinetry Division and was then promoted to the President & CEO role at Armstrong Cabinets where he led the company to sales and profitability growth.
After then working with a private equity firm, Prospect Partners, leading a venture in the replacement window industry, he has most recently built and run a cabinetry and countertop distribution and installation business in the Cleveland area, ProMark. Gordon earned a Bachelor Degree in Political Science at the University of Michigan and an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
Wellborn Forest Products, located in Alexander City, Alabama, is a manufacturer of semi-custom residential cabinetry for the Kitchen & Bath Dealer and Distributor market in the Eastern US, focusing on solid construction features in designer styles and finishes at competitive prices.
