MURRAY, UT - Wellborn Cabinet named Adam Kinne general manager of Cabinetry by Karman, Murray, UT, effective October 22, 2012. He succeeds John Wise, who spent 17 years at the Wellborn operation.

Kinne was formerly with Candlelight Cabinetry, a 230-employee, 200,000 sq.ft. cabinetry manufacturer in Lockport, NY; and became COO of Mountaineer Woodcraft, Fairmont, WV in 2009.

Separately, Wellborn Cabinet, Inc., based in Ashland, AL, launched Prestige Oak for several of its solid wood oak doors. It features subtle uniform grains with straighter grain patterns and limited very narrow cathedrals. Grain patterns originate at the time the log is cut, with live sawn milling rather than rotary cutting.

Wellborn Cabinet also rebranded its closets and home storage line as Distinctive Storage Solutions, broadening it from the former Distinctive Closets.
