HOCHST, AUSTRIA — Ronald Weber has been appointed the new chairman of the Management Board at Grass GmbH, effective Nov. 15. Weber has been working in various divisions of the Würth Group, owners of Grass, for 17 years.

Weber will also take over responsibility for marketing and sales for Grass GmbH, a position formerly held by  Frank Nessler. Nessler will be available to act as a consultant for Würth.

A leading manufacturer of hardware, including hinges, slides and drawer systems, Grass posted sales revenues of $285.4 million euros in 2010. The company employs more than 1,900 people at 13 locations worldwide, including Kernersville, NC. Grass also has more than 200 distributors  in 60 countries.
