MISSISSAUGA, ON - The International Centre, host convention facility for the 2013 Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo (WMS), is amid a $4.5 million renovation project.

WMS 2013 Venue Getting a $4.5M FaceliftThe renovation includes a multi-functional new connector that will improve traffic flow between Halls 4 and 5. The new 45-foot-wide connector, which will include new food options, is scheduled to be completed this fall, just in time for Canada's national woodworking show, Oct. 24-26.

The renovation also will transform the main entrance to Hall 1 by creating a bright and modern lobby. The new lobby will include sleek stone flooring and dramatic architectural features. and will offer more versatility for events of all magnitudes.

In addition, all exterior main entrance and hall signage will be replaced with new full-color LED screens.

The project is the cornerstone of a rebranding initiative for the International Centre themed, "There's Something Happening Here!"

Michael Prescott,Chief Executive Officer of the International Centre, said, “The renovation is set to begin early 2013 and upon completion, the new sleek and modern space will enhance the client and visitor experience for all of the over 450 events held here every year.”
