MISSISSAUGA, ON - UCS Forest Group dba Sierra Forest Products in the US and Upper Canada Forest Products in Canada has added Polylac high-gloss PET surfaces to its extensive line of sheet goods for wood product manufacturing customers throughout North America.

Polylac is a high-gloss PET finished laminated panel with a glossy mirror-like surface and is 100 percent PVC free. These scratch, abrasion and water-resistant surfaces are well suited for all types of furniture and cabinetry. Available in more than 75 different European designs, the panels can be fabricated using standard woodworking industry tools.

Each Polylac panel consists of a PET surface and decorative layer fused to a CARB 2 compliant MDF core. The back surface comes either in a matching color/design or is available as white melamine. The 3/4-inch 4-foot-by-9-foot panels are shipped with a heavy-duty peel coat to protect the faces.

UCFP says the Polylac panels have the industry's highest gloss rating of 98. UCFP also offers ABS edgebanding in a matching high-gloss finish, a two-tone edgebanding that combines the color with brushed aluminum or as plain-brushed aluminum.
