United Furniture Will Open New Plant Mid-February

VERONA, MS -- Residential furniture manufacturer, United Furniture Industries, will open its new facility, which will manufacture stationary furniture, in mid-February, according to published reports.

Approximately $2.5 million was invested in the 475,000-square-foot plant, which was previously owned by Lane Furniture Industries. United Furniture expects to hire up to 300 people.

United Furniture, started in 1982, has approximately 2,000 employees and manufacturing facilities in Okolona, Hatley and Amory, MS; Archdale, High Point, Lexington, NC and Victorville, CA.
