U.S. Made Wood-Base Glider Rockers Recalled for Spindle Failures

WASHINGTON - Brooks Furniture Manufacturing Inc. of Tazewell, TN, is recalling about 350 glider rockers due to spindle failures.

According to the U.S.Consumer Product Safety Commission, Brooks Furniture has received 29 reports of spindles separating or loosening on the upholstered chair's maple wood base. No injuries have been reported.

The chairs sold for approximately $390 to $540 depending on style exclusively at Kaplan Early Learning Company between October 2011 and December 2012.

CPSC said consumers should contact Brooks Furniture to receive a free replacement base.
