Steelcase Wins State Sustainability AwardsGRAND RAPIDS, MI - Office furniture giant Steelcase Inc. has been recognized by the Michigan Green Leader awards and Michigan's 101 Best & Brightest Sustainable Companies for its efforts in sustainability.

"Our commitment to sustainability influences everything we do, whether it's reducing our operational footprint, working towards eliminating materials of concern, or investing in social impact initiatives," Nancy Hickey, Steelcase chief administrative officer said in a statement.

Presented in conjunction with the Detroit Free Press, Michigan Green Leader recognizes businesses, people and organizations that are doing outstanding work to make Michigan a greener place to live and work. Steelcase was selected in the Large Business category for the second year in a row.

The 101 Best and Brightest Sustainable Companies, presented by CORP! Magazine, recognizes Michigan-based companies that are making their businesses more environmentally and socially responsible, the lives of their employees better and the community, locally and globally, more responsible as a whole.
