Steelcase Chosen One of Fortune’s ‘Most Admired Companies’ GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Steelcase Inc., a developer and manufacturer of furniture products and services for workplaces, was named one of Fortune magazine’s 2014 “World’s Most Admired Companies” in the Home Equipment and Furnishings industry sector. The company scored highest in the innovation, social responsibility, quality of management and quality of products/services categories.

“We are honored to be recognized alongside such innovative and respected global organizations,” said Jim Keane, president and CEO of Steelcase Inc. “To be considered among them as one of the ‘Most Admired’ really reflects on the creativity and dedication of our employees around the world.”

The company has recently received additional honors, including a recognition from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, as well as five 2013 “Best of NeoCon” Awards. Steelcase is also focused on its impact on the environment, with 2013 sustainability achievements that included saving more than 2,125 tons of greenhouse gas emissions, collecting more than 4,178 pounds of electronic waste and donating nearly $5 million and over 6,500 volunteer hours.
