States Industries, a supplier of hardwood plywood panels, awarded the grand prize in its Art of ApplePly design competition to Alan Kaniarz of A.K. Services in Detroit, MI. Kaniarz’s winning entry was titled Motion Chair.

Kaniaz founded A.K. Services in 1983 offering fine custom woodworking design services, custom doors, stained glass, antiques and custom cabinetry. His work shop is approximately 6,000 square feet.
