Stanley Furniture, despite posting a loss and a plant closure, maintains investor appeal (NYSE: STLY) says analyst John DiStanislao at Seeking Alpha.
Stanley Furniture can point to good news - a rise in sales of Stanley Furniture overall. But its Robbinsville, NC plant struggled, and put a drag on the company.
Stanley Furniture announced in March it would close its Robbinsville plant and in April 2014 reported a loss. Investors are hanging in there anyway, says DiStanislao, noting that Ariel Investments now holds 17% of Stanley shares, and Heartland, Royce and Ancora Advisors have all maintained their holdings undeterred.
