HIGH POINT — Stanley Furniture may be one step closer to moving its corporate headquarters to High Point, NC, following the approval of a $76,000 incentive Thursday by the Guilford County Board of Commissioners.
According to a report in the High Point Enterprise, the commissioners voted 8 to 1 to grant the incentive. This follows an earlier decision by the City of High Point to approve $340,000 in incentives to the residential furniture manufacturer.
Stanley Furniture has said the move from Stanleytown, VA, to a 60,000-square foot building at 200 N. Hamilton St. in High Point, would consolidate its offices and two existing showrooms under one roof. The project would also bring 42 jobs to the city of High Point.
