NEEDHAM, MA - Seating and furniture company, Varier USA, North American distributor for the Scandinavian company, Varier Furniture, opened its first U.S. showroom and a factory outlet store just outside of Boston, in Needham, MA.

The showroom will be open to designers, architects, contract purchasers and the public, and the factory outlet store will offer discounts on floor models, trade show samples and discontinued items.

Founded in 1932 and formely known as Stokke, Varier Furniture is noted for its innovative ergonomic seating. In 1979, the kneeling chair, the Variable balans, was created by designer Peter Opsvik.

Varier's furniture is made from sustainable materials and is hand built and inspected in the company's Norwegian workshop.
