SawStop Reaches Milestone; Ships 50,000th Table SawTUALARIN, OR – SawStop, LLC recently announced the shipment of its 50,000th table saw. Officials from the company credit customer loyalty for the popularity of the saws, which are designed to minimize saw-related injuries and the costs associated with them. The saw’s unique design allows the blade to detect human skin and stop spinning within five milliseconds of contact.

"After shipping our 50,000th saw, the epidemic of table saw injuries on unsafe saws persists," said Vice President of Marketing Matt Howard. "Our mission hasn't changed."

The Oregon-based company was founded in 1999 by Dr. Steve Gass and shipped its first table saw in 2004. The saws are now available for sale from more than 400 resell outlets in seven countries.
