CAMBRIDGE, ON --Royce//Ayr has added new PCD cutting tool making capacity at its 40,000-square-foot facility in Cambridge.

Royce//Ayr Expands PCD Tooling CapacityThe company recently took ownership of the first Vollmer QXD200 machine in Canada. The machine finishes PFD tools and combines rotary erosion and grinding for complete processing of helical tools in a single machine setup.

Vollmer America said the machine's six programmable axes allow for "continued innovation" in tool design, while the six-position tool changer allows for flexibility in electrodes and polishing wheel selections that can be utilized in unattended operation.

Royce//Ayr's extensive product line includes: saw blades; insert, diamond and solid carbide router bits; carbide-tipped drill bits; cutterheads and knives for fabricating wood, metal, plastics and other mateirals.
