GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Stiles Machinery announces the upcoming retirement of David K. Rothwell, executive vice president and partner. The retirement is scheduled for January 2013.
A 31-year veteran of Stiles, Rothwell is credited by the company with establishing many of the programs and strategies that have made it a market leader in the woodworking industry.
Stiles President and CEO Peter Kleinschmidt said in a statement, “All of us at Stiles will miss Dave’s energy and candor. I will personally miss the friendship and counsel of my business partner. His contributions to our company and to the industry are impossible to measure.”
In addition to his role with Stiles, Rothwell also served as president of WMIA from 2009 to 2011 and on the IWF Board of Directors from 1997 to 2010. He also has been active with other industry associations.
News of the retirement comes on the heels of an announcement by Stiles "of an impressive turnaround of the company in 2012 after difficult economic times. Sales and service of Stiles’ products are returning to pre-crisis levels, emphasized by a successful IWF Show in August."
