Rail America Says Lumber Shipping Up 12%JACKSONVILLE, FL - RailAmerica says construction products shipping revenue (including construction and forest products) increased $2 million, or 11%, primarily due to increased forest products carloads of 12% which was driven by a rise in lumber traffic in the Northeast and Northwest.

RailAmerica, Inc., which operates short line and regional freight railroads on  45 individual railroads with approximately 7,500 miles of track in 28 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces, was acquired by Genessee & Wyoming Railway in July 2012.
