CARY, NC -  Window and door manufacturer Ply Gem Holdings, Inc. net sales for the second quarter were $307.3 million, an increase of $12.8 million, or 4.3 percent from the year prior. Net sales for the first half of 2012 were $546.5 million, higher than the prior year by $51.9 million, or 10.5%.

“Even though the market environment was better during the first half of this year, we believe the recovery will continue to be slow and choppy for some time," says Gary E. Robinette, president and CEO. "Ply Gem will continue to focus on maintaining a lean overall cost structure."

Ply Gem, headquartered in Cary, NC, also manufactures exterior building products in North America, including vinyl and aluminum soffit and siding accessories, aluminum trim coil, wood windows, aluminum windows, vinyl and aluminum-clad windows and steel and fiberglass doors.
