HIGH POINT – OFS Brands is one step closer to a possible expansion in High Point following approval Monday by the City Council authorizing up to $220,000 in cash incentives. News of the council approval was reported in the High Point Enterprise.
The wood contract furniture manufacturer is considering a $9.25 million expansion of its North Carolina operations that would bring 188 full time jobs to the High Point area over five years, according to the High Point Economic Development Corp.
With funds now approved by the High Point City Council, the Guilford County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to hold a hearing Nov. 15 to consider authorizing up to $188,000. The State of North Carolina also is considering participating in the project, according to the EDC.
Headquartered in Huntingburg, IN, OFS Brands is the parent firm for OFS, First Office, Carolina, Loewenstein and Styline Logistics. Products manufactured include casegoods, seating and tables.
