RICHMOND, VA - Showbest Fixture Corp., Richmond, VA, and St. Louis-based Midwest Woodworking, have formed an alliance to manufacture, import, and install store fixtures.

The wood products firms told the Assn. for Retail Environments that Showbest Fixture will manufacture at its plants in Richmond and Blackstone, VA.

Midwest Woodworking will provide account management and sales support in St Louis.

Founded in 1969, Showbest Fixture has manufactured and installed fixtures for thousands of retail stores and college bookstores from coast-to-coast.

Midwest Woodworking began in the post-WWII years as a millwork company, concentrating on restaurant interiors. In 1969 the firm was acquired by Depke family; Don Depke is president.

In 1988 the firm moved manufacturing to Tennessee, and in June 2008 opened a 125,000 square foot plant in Selmer, TN, consolidating manufacturing. It features 25-foot ceilings and 10 dock doors.
