MasterBrand Cabinets Invests $574,000 in Goshen, Hiring 76‏

GOSHEN, IN – MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc. plans to expand Goshen, IN operations, and has already begun hiring for a total 76 new jobs to be filled by the end of 2013. Total employment in Goshen will rise to 856.

A unit of Fortune Brands Home & Security, MasterBrand Cabinets is headquartered in Jasper, IN. Its Goshen operation will see a $574,000 investment in equipment expanding capacity and product offerings produced at the 484,500 square-foot plant.

The new capacity, expected to come online by the end of this month, will include the installation of a new miter cell, shaping and finishing equipment, an oven and additional tools to facilitate assembly for semi-custom work.

“The Goshen plant is a key facility in our manufacturing footprint in North America,” said Mark Stoppert, senior VP  manufacturing, semi-custom cabinetry for MasterBrand. "The workforce has a proud history of making high quality cabinetry here."

MasterBrand Cabinets standard and custom-made cabinet brands include Kitchen Craft, Omega, Homecrest and Diamond, prodused at 14 sites in North America employing 9,000. 

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says it offered MasterBrand Cabinets $350,000 in conditional tax credits and $80,000 in training grants based on jobs created.
