DEERFIELD, IL - MasterBrand Cabinetry parent Fortune Brands Home & Security (NYSE: FBHS), named Jason Baab to the post of VP mergers and acquisitions. Baab is charged the expanding the portfolio through acquisitions.

The Company also announced the promotion of Elif Sagsen-Ercel to the post of VP strategy. Baab and Sagsen-Ercel both report to Chuck Elias, elected earlier this year as senior VP strategy and corporate development. 

The selection of Baab and promotion of Sagsen-Ercel demonstrates FBHS's commitment to seek out exceptional talent that can support the company's growth, the company said. In June Fortune Brands acquired Woodcrafters Home Products for $300 million.

Baab, 39, was formerly the director of business development at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. At Fortune Brands Baab will lead all aspects of M&A activity including developing and managing the acquisition pipeline, negotiating and structuring acquisitions and all aspects of deal execution. Prior to Goodyear he was at SPX Corp., Wachovia Bank, and worked in M&A at Lehman Brothers in London and Frankfurt, Germany. 

Sagsen-Ercel joined FBHS, as senior director of strategy in July, and she has been instrumental in the development of FBHS portfolio strategy and individual operating company strategies, according to Chuck Elias, Sagsen-Ercel came from Hillshire Brands, where she was responsible for strategic planning and innovation.

Before Hillshire Brands, Sagsen-Ercel was senior director of strategy and corporate development for Sara Lee, where she was involved in growth strategy development, M&A and business improvement initiatives.
