TOANO, VA – A Cincinnati-based dance team received a new hardwood floor courtesy of Lumber Liquidators.
The Highsteppers Drill Team, a nonprofit youth dance organization, uses the art of dance and drill as “unique tools to help inspire leadership, self-discipline and confidence in girls.”
When the drill team was ready to move to a new space that lacked flooring, Lumber Liquidators donated a Dura Dance underlayment flooring system for the facility. Dura Dance is a synthetic rubber underlayment that, together with a high-quality hardwood floor, absorbs energy and provides an impact dampening effect perfect for dancers. The donation is part of Lumber Liquidators' philanthropic program, Lay It Forward.
It's donations like Lumber Liquidators' that helped us open our own studio so we could continue to provide young women in the community with a place to dance and develop," says Kelli Harmon-Dobson, director of The Highsteppers Drill Team.
