Leedo Cabinetry on Fast Track: $100 Million Order Backlog(STAFFORD) HOUSTON, TX - Business is booming for Leedo Cabinetry. The Houston-area cabinet manufacturer announced it is experiencing a record year in sales, with more than $100 million already in committed orders as the company approaches the second half of 2013.

Leedo specializes in frame and frameless cabinetry for multifamily residences. According to company President Ken Hirshman, the recent sales surge can be attributed to manufacturing investments, the introduction of a new product line, and an increased sales and installation presence.

“While others retreated during the economic downturn, Leedo was investing heavily in our capabilities. We focused on improving the quality of our framed products from our East Bernard manufacturing facility, including significant capital expenditures in our finishing systems and processes. We opened a new facility in El Campo dedicated to manufacturing our frameless line of cabinets, which were designed to target high-growth urban centers. Most importantly, we made significant investments in our installation services division and greatly expanded our commercial representation around the country," he said in a statement.

Company Chairman George Hagle said the company will continue to grow its capabilities and product lines. “We have successfully increased our market share in the past 18 months, and we will continue to drive performance in our processes, products and personnel. We are constantly focused on making the customer successful: with new stylish products, improved service platforms and increased staffing. Leedo will stay focused on its mission of delivering the whole package – a well-designed, stylish kitchen, completed on time.”

In related news, Leedo Cabinetry recently announced changes within its senior leadership team. Howard Maymon has joined Leedo as chief financial officer (CFO). Maymon was most recently CFO and interim CEO of ACProducts, Inc. (dba Armstrong Cabinets Products).

Also, former CFO Jonathan Risch has assumed the newly created role of chief commercial officer (CCO). The company says Risch’s responsibilities have expanded to oversee all of Leedo’s commercial functions including sales, marketing, estimation, design, project management, contracts, credit, collections, and billing.

Founded in 1971, Leedo produces more than 500,000 cabinets yearly and "more than 100 miles of countertops," according to the company. Leedo has its corporate headquarters in Stafford, face-frame cabinet and countertop facilities in East Bernard, TX, and a frameless cabinet facility in El Campo, TX.
