STATESVILLE, NC - Kewaunee Scientific Corporation (Nasdaq: KEQU), a manufacturer of laboratory technical and laminate furniture products, announced that its board of directors elected David Rausch as president and CEO.

Rausch, 53, succeeds William Shumaker, who will continue his role as chairman of the board.

Rausch joined Kewaunee Scientific in 1994 and has served in numerous senior management roles, most recently as Senior Vice President of Construction Services, and since May 2011 as General Manager of the Laminate Furniture Division of Kewaunee.

Kewaunee Scientific operates three manufacturing facilities in Statesville as well as a plant in Bangalore, India to service the local and Asian markets.
