HERSHEY, PA - As part of furniture and cabinet retail chain Just Cabinet's charitable campaign Just Cause, 7-year old autistic piano prodigy Ethan Walmark performed live at an Autism Speaks golf outing in Hershey, Pennsylvania, according to Penn Live.
Walmark, who started making music at 15 months old, first came to prominence last year after a video of him playing Billy Joel's "Piano Man" went viral and landed him appearances on "Good Morning America" and "The Today Show." (See him in action the YouTube video below posted in April.)
"Music has allowed him to come out of his world into our world," said Ethan's mom Allison. "When he plays music, there's no such thing as autism for him. He becomes a completely typical child."
Autism Speaks is just one of many charitable organizations Just Cabinets has contributed to with its four-year fundraising program Just Cause. Entering its sixth year in existence, the program has raised money for groups such as Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude's Hospital and Make a Wish Foundation. This year alone, Just Cause has raised over $50,000.
With 19 stores across the East Coast, Just Cabinets has been selling furniture and cabinets since 1979.
