Investor Acquires Wood Flooring Distribution Rights

LAS VEGAS - Wood flooring firm Duro-Design has sold exclusive rights to Blue Star Opportunities Corp. (Pinksheets: BSTO.PK - News) to sell Duro-Design brand wood and other natural flooring products in the U.S. market.

Investor Acquires Wood Flooring Distribution RightsBlue Star says it will create a network of 10 factory outlets within six months under the Duro-Design brand in the United States. An additional 15 outlets will be established within two years. Orders will be exclusively processed through the Duro-Design product facilities.

Based in Montreal, Duro-Design manufacture flooring materials from environmentally friendly managed sources for residential, commercial and institutional markets. Blue Star Opportunities says Duro-Design recorded $20 million in sales over the past four years.

Dur-Design says it uses proprietary staining and pigmentation techniques that are applied to bamboo, cork, tamarindo, and other specialized wood-flooring products, within LEED certification norms. Duro-Design products have been installed in museums, churches, offices, retail stores and thousands of homes, according to Blue Star.

Blue Star Opportunities Corp. describes itself as a supplier of environmentally friendly components used in renovation and construction of family homes, commercial and retail space, and multi-unit dwellings, including  products  for housing parts that are traditionally made of wood. It focuses on LEED-validated materials from renewable resources in order to service the growing market of consumers and end-users who are demanding green products for their homes and projects.

Just prior to the Duro-Design deal, Blue Star announced it was resuming its activities in the housing and building materials markets.
