Interprint Panel Decor Paper Firm Wins State Export AwardPITTSFIELD, MA - Interprint, which spent $2 million to equip its plant in Pittsfield, MA  to produce Premeer, a new polypropylene-based overlay product for global sales, won an Associated Industries of Massachusetts 2014 Global Trade Award for export.

Interprint, Inc., U.S. operation of a German parent, won the Ambassador’s Award. An industrial designer and printer of décor pattern used as the design layer in laminates for kitchen countertops, cabinets, floors, ceilings and ready-to-assemble furniture, in 2013 Interprint completed a $2 million investment Pittsfield, MA plant to produce Premeer, a polypropylene-based overlay product.

The Pittsfield location is currently the only manufacturing plant supplying Premeer, and handles all production for the global market. Interprint serves many major wood products manufacturing markets, including Canada, Mexico, the U.K., Australia, Spain, and Thailand.

Interprint, Inc. and the two other 2014 honorees - Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., , and V.H. Blackinton & Company, Inc. - will be honored at AIM’s 99th Annual Meeting on Friday, May 9 at the Waltham (MA) Westin Hotel. The event will include a keynote address by Jonathan Kraft, President of The Kraft Group and The New England Patriots.
