CONSHOHOCKEN, PA -- SEKTION, a new kitchen cabinet system from IKEA U.S. will debut in stores starting Feb. 2.
SEKTION is a modular cabinet system and it will replace IKEA's award-winning AKURUM kitchen cabinetry -- more than 7.7 million units have been sold since the cabinets were introduced in 1995. The two systems are not compatible but IKEA will continue to honor its 25-year limited warranty AKURUM kitchens even after the line is retired.
According to the company, SEKTION's modular components will offer custom solutions for maximizing interior cabinet space, soft close drawers and doors, a wall mounted railing as well as an integrated system for lighting.
