RESTON, VA - The Hardwood Plywood & Veneer Association (HPVA) has upgraded its testing laboratory with the addition of Variable Environmental Chambers (VECs).

They have proven to be a valuable research and development tool for evaluating product quality and performance, while minimizing risk of claims."

The chambers have an operation environment range of 18% to 96% relative humidity and 52F to 120F temperature. This range allows the VECs to simulate environmental conditions of any region including arid, tropical and temperate, the HPVA said.

The HPVA testing laboratory has tools and programs specially developed for wood flooring, cabinets, furniture, windows and more.
