WASHINGTON - Hammary Furniture of High Point, NC, has issued a voluntary recall for approximately 165 wood frame dining side chairs because they pose a fall hazard.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the connections between the legs and frame of the chairs can flex, posing a fall hazard. Hammary received two reports of the legs flexing. No inuries were reported in either incidence.

The recalled chairs feature a square seat and back, dark wood frame with a brown woven abaca back and an upholstered white seat. The chairs sold at La-Z-Boy Galleries and other furniture stores for about $300 per chair.

Consumers are encouraged to contact their local furniture retailer for a replacement chair of comparable value or a full refund.
