Delta Furniture Expands ProductionPONTOTOC, MS — Upholstered furniture maker Delta Furniture Manufacturing is expanding operations at its Pontotoc, MS, facility to accommodate an increase in production. The project represents a $520,000 corporate investment and will create 50 new jobs, according to the news release.

Founded in 2009, the residential furniture maker currently has 200 employees at its 220,000-square-foot facility.

Delta Furniture received assistance for the project from the Mississippi Development Authority and the City of Pontotoc. Wesley Walls, Delta Furniture president and co-founder, also recognized the Three Rivers Planning and Development District for its support.

“This year marks Delta Furniture’s fifth year of successful operations in Pontotoc, and this is the company’s second expansion in such a short amount of time. That speaks volumes about the strong business environment and workforce in Mississippi,” Gov. Phil Bryant said.

Terry Wages, Delta Furniture president of manufacturing and co-founder, added, “I would like to thank our employees for their efforts in building quality products for our customers. We are proud to be a part of the growth going on in Pontotoc and are excited about our future at Delta.”
