China Supplier to Steelcase, Knoll Uses SFI Wood

WEIFANG, CHINA - A Chinese firm says it will open a new factory to produce mirrors using a new technology. The company supplies IKEA, Knoll, Steelcase, and Wal-Mart.

Shouguang Yujing Business & Trade Co.,Ltd, which manufactures and exports large mirrors and other glass products, opened Yujing Glass Technical Co., Ltd, that will put a new imported Italian product line into production producing copper- and lead-free mirrors. 

Shouguang Yujing says it practices conservation and recycling wherever possible: Sawdust from its operations is used by local farmers as animal bedding. Packaging materials and paper are recycled for reuse.

"Our lumber suppliers are committed to achieving the Sustainable Forestry Initiative Standard Policy," says the company. "The policy promotes scientifically, environmentally, socially and economically sustainable forestry practices."
