Cabinetry Growth, High Seas Hardwood Were Most Viewed Cabinetry firms reported steady growth, some aggressively expanding like Northern Contours, whose announcement of hiring plans was the most view story this week at Woodworking Network.

Hardwood on the high seas was the theme for a Veterans Day NCAA basketball face-off aboard the USS Car Vinson aircraft carrier off the coast of California. Michigan State played North Carolina. A plywood and maple

And the two home improvement giants had opposite resuls: Lowe's Companies, Inc. (NYSE: LOW) net earnings fell 44.3 percent to $225 million for the third quarter, while its larger rival The Home Depot sales rose 12 percent to $934 million.
