LEESBURG, VA - Last week the Composite Panel Association(CPA) announced its 2012 Safety Recognition Awards for participating composite panel manufacturing plants with exemplary safety records.

Among the honors was the award for the best record among large plants with zero lost time incidents in 2012. Three companies won, including Louisiana-Pacific Corporation, Del-Tin Fiber Co.and Temple-Inland.

Louisiana-Pacific also won the award for best record over a three year period for large plants, along with Georgia-Pacific who won for lower worker-hour mills.

Also, Collins Hardboard and Collins Particleboard won best long-term improvement over three years and thirteen additional plants were recognized for achieving an incident rate less than 50% of the industry average over the past three years.
