HIGH POINT, NC - CNC routing subcontractor Automated Routing, Inc. St. Meinrad, IN, says it will expand into High Point, NC, a major furniture business and manufacturing center.
"With all the bad weather North Carolina has had has affected our opening date but I am still hoping for mid March or early April," says Barry Schaefer, president. "We have several accounts in the Highpoint area and we are hoping to expand in this area." Schaefer says Automated Routing runs over 30 CNC routers two shifts per day at its St. Meinrad location.
Founded in 1993, Automated Routing performs wood machining for other companies and individuals on dozens of CNC machines. The CNC contracting firm hands all aspects of wood component and product manufacturing, including design, packaging and delivery.
Automated Routing already operates four plants, the most recent before the High Point operation was opened in Tell City, IN in 2009. It produces bent plywood and solid wood components. A 41,000 square foot plant was opened in 2008.
Growing rapidly over the years, 100-employee Automated Routing has purchased CNC equipment as well as building dedicated machinery in-house to keep up with the demand.
