UNION, NJ - Actor Brad Pitt is collaborating with Frank Pollaro, president and CEO of Pollaro Custom Furniture, to design residential furniture. The collection's launch is set for Nov. 13-15 in New York.
According to Architectural Digest, Pitt has designed approximately a dozen pieces, including tables, chairs and an Art Deco bed. In an interview published in the December issue of Architectural Digest, Pitt said, "I’ve been doodling ideas for buildings and furniture since the early 1990s, when I first discovered [Charles Rennie] Mackintosh and Frank Lloyd Wright.”
The initial pieces in the custom furniture line will be available as limited editions, signed by both Pitt and Pollaro. As for the collaboration, AD quotes Pollaro, "I think we’ll be doing this for a long time.”
Founded in 1988, Pollaro Custom Furniture designs and manufactures custom furniture, cabinetry and architectural woodwork for clients that include architects, interior designers and homeowners.
