BlueLinx Adds Former Home Depot Executive as CFOATLANTA  -- Lumber and panel distributor BlueLinx Holdings Inc. tapped Susan C. O’Farrell, a former executive with Home Depot, to serve as its Senior VP, CFO, Treasurer and effective May 19, 2014.

O'Farrell replaces Doug Goforth, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests, according to a statement from BlueLinx. O'Farrell reports to Mitchell Lewis, who became CEO in January.

As Home Depot’s vice president of finance, O’Farrell led multiple teams to support the company and increase revenue. Most recently she was responsible for the finance function for The Home Depot's At Home Services Group.O'Farrell began her career with Andersen Consulting, LLP, before taking a role with AGL Resources.

BlueLinx, which reported $2 billion in sales last year, originated as a spin-off of Georgia-Pacific's lumber and panel distribution division in 2004. It sells to furniture firms such as Haworth and Ethan Allen, through The Home Depot, Lowe's, 84 Lumber and other national and regional building materials dealers, and to manufactured home builders such as Champion, Forest River, and Clayton Homes.

It has reduced its dependence on G-P products, taking on leading brands such as Aurauco and PlyGem, offering more than 10,000 products from over 750 suppliers to its 11,500 customers nationwide.
