Beaufurn, a manufacturer of custom commercial furniture, announced it is moving manufacturing operations to Davie County, NC, joining Ashley Furniture, which recently announced the opening of a new manufacturing and distribution facility in the area.

Currently in Winston-Salem, Beaufurn is expected to move into a 72,000-square-foot building in Advance, NC, by Aug. 21, 2012. The move allows for expansion as well as improves distribution logistics because of easy access to the adjacent Interstate-40 highway.

According to Beaufurn, domestic manufacturing output has increased by 30 percent since 2010. Currently, the company has 21 full-time employees and 4 seasonal workers, and it is looking to hire furniture upholsterers.
