BauschLinnemann Acquires CDM's Overlay Manufacturing Assets

GREENSBORO, NC — BauschLinnemann North America said it has acquired the manufacturing assets of CDM Décor Papers in Drummondville, QUE. According to Michael Philips, president of BauschLinnemann North America Inc., the components of CDM's existing factory will be relocated to a BauschLinnemann facility in Greensboro, NC or Myrtle Beach, SC.

CDM filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 11. The Canadian decorative overlay manufacturer's product lines included several grades, prints and solid colors, for use in RTA furniture, casegoods, kitchen and bath, storage, wall paneling, door skins and store fixtures.

BauschLinnemann North America, a SURTECO company, manufactures a variety of surface materials including decorative foils, light basis weight papers, film overlays, and edgebandings at its two locations. BauschLinnemann surfaces are used in a variety of applications, including living room and bedroom furniture, kitchens, youth furniture and interior fittings.
